*Lori Darlin'*

Well I broke down and got Joey his birthday/anniversary present kinda early. A little girl. He named her Lori Darlin' (yes, it's from Lonesome Dove haha). He wanted a female, blue merle, regular sized, Australian Shepherd, with a blue eye. And I found the perfect little purebred female for sale. And she has one blue eye with a green speck and one green eye with a blue speck. She's the cutest darn thing ever. She follows Joe around everywhere, plays with Opi (which is hilarious to see an almost grown cat play with a tiny puppy), is almost house trained and she loves to "talk".

*Joe's Boo-Boo*

My poor Hunny broke his middle finger on his right hand in 3 different places on Wednesday :( He was down in Tooele helping move Uncle Seth's cows to the corrals so they could ship them out east and there was a cow and new calf they were going to leave behind but the cow ended up killing her calf so they roped her to try and get her to come with the with the rest of the cows but she ended up running through a snow fence and Joey's horse didn't like that idea so he wasn't cooperating and Joey ended up having to let his rope go and the cow jerked it and the hard end of the rope came back and whopped him right in the finger. He went to the ER in Tooele at midnight because his finger was so swollen and they said he broke it in 2 places (one cracked up to the joint) and needed surgery but Monty told him to get out of that hospital asap and he'd get Dr. Pepper's (yes Dr. Pepper haha) advice who to look at it. So the next day Joey went to Dr. Pepper's friend and he X-rayed it and found out it was actually broke in 3 places but was strait as could be and if he was Joe he wouldn't have surgery. So, being the awesome doc he is, he put a half cast on Joe and told him it was on the house! Now Joey just HAS to wear it for 3 weeks AT LEAST, we'll see how that goes.
Haha I told him to make a sad face..... kinda scary babe.
All of his fingers are pretty swollen :(
All in all our prayers were answered. It would have been better if it never happened but it worked out as best it could. His finger was broke strait so no surgery, Dr. Pepper's friend was awesome and didn't make him believe he needed surgery and also gave us a freebie, Joey just happened to still be on his old health insurance because the guy never took him off, and Joe got some pretty good pills outta the deal. We are now working on getting our own health insurance and Joe is high as a kite :) Jk he actually prefers motrin over his prescription.

*My Sleepy-Heads*

I'm still putting together our little house... I've been doing LOTS of cleaning. Opi has been good about keeping any mouse out of the house, I haven't seen one or any remnants of one so thats VERY GOOD. Joey has been helping me out a lot when he is not down in Tooele or at the ranch, which I've thankful for his help. I usually have my parents help me but they are in England right now :(
I just wanted to share this picture... Our bed still isn't put together so we've just been sleeping on the mattress on the floor and I walked in to find Joey & Opi taking a nap together. She has this new thing of sleeping with us at night, and she always has to be everywhere we are. Joe has been working so hard lately too and tries to catch a nap whenever he can. They are so cute, I love them so much.

*Yes, No, I Mean Yes, Well Maybe No, Definitly No, Mmm Actually Yes*

So I change my mind A LOT. For example, just tonight Joe & I were over at Brett & Nikki's to brand their calves and eat dinner. We only took Joey's truck and left mine half way between the Ranch and Brett & Nikki's on the road that goes to our house so I could be dropped off there and head home while Joe went back to the ranch to unload his horse before coming home. So that was the plan, THEN I decided I would go back to the ranch and do our laundry, but THEN I wanted to go home to unpack our bedroom, but THEN I wanted to go to the ranch so I could check my mail and do the laundry, but THEN I wanted to go home 'cause I was having tummy aches and just wanted to be home, SO we head out and as Joey is pulling over to where my truck was parked I tell him actually I want to go with him to the ranch so I don't have to be home alone and I could do the laundry like I wanted. This kind of annoyed Joe because apparently I do this "all the freakin' time". I can never decide where or what to eat before we are out driving to go get something or it's just about dinner time. I change my outfit about 2-4 times before I find the right one, and sometimes I have to run back inside before we head to where we're going so I can change. I can't help it, I just make decisions on how I feel at the moment which could sometimes be a bad thing I guess and really annoying. But, there are some things I want Joey to know I will NEVER change my mind about and those are:
-I will never change my mind on how I feel about you and how much I love you
-I will never change my mind on wanting to be with you forever and I will not do anything to jeopardize that
-I will never change my mind about wanting to have a family with you
-I will never change from being the person you fell in love with
-I promise I will never change my mind about wanting to live in Randolph where you've set our roots (even though you don't believe me on that one haha)
I'm sorry I change my mind a lot Jojo... but in all fairness, you knew what you were getting yourself into before you married me :)
I love you babe... don't ever change

"Becoming A Homemaker"

Since I am not going to be working the whole rest of this year I have decided to work on my homemaking skills (which are at the moment NONE) so, in other words I am going to "acquire" homemaking skills which will consist of:

-Cooking better and healthy meals (For EVERY breakfast and dinner)
-Baking (I'm going to master breads and desserts)
-Cleaning (I am going to pick one thing a day to clean and CLEAN IT)
-Garden (as much as I can in Randolph, and eventually get a small green house and use all the vegetables I grow in our meals)
-Learn how to can (So I will have vegies and fruit in the winter time)
-Learn how to sew (So I can fix Joey's MANY holes and rips is clothes turn up with)
-Scrapbooking and Blogging more and better (So I can remember all of our wonderful times together and so other people can enjoy it for generations)
-Get a food storage put together and keep an updated 72 hr kit (Randolph's nice little earthquake kind of scared this thought into my head and I don't want us to be unprepared for anything that could happen)
Now, I don't want any woman activists giving me crap for this blog haha, Joey knows perfectly that I wear the pants in the relationship (just kidding!) but, I usually am working all the time and now that I'm not I want to learn how to do all these things. I admire my mom, mom-in-law, sisters and sisters-in-law with all their talents. I want to be like my mom who has the perfect balance of homemaking skills and being in charge ;) And I want t0 be more like Diane who is the best mother-in-law and knows how to do so many things and had 9 AMAZING kids. My sister Molly in England who is an AWESOME mom and has CHICKENS... yes MOLLY has chickens haha and she gardens and cooks up a storm for the 4 guys in her life. And my sisters-in-law Aline and McCall who also cook amazingly and are so crafty. And Joey's sisters who are all so talented (Michelle you do AMAZING things with bread haha). I admire all these talented women in my life and hope that I can be even a part as talented, smart and beautiful as them all someday.

*Our New Home*

Whelp... we are NOW residents of Randolph, UT. We have been taking little loads of our stuff through Logan canyon to Randolph for the past two weeks and as of Friday 7th at around 10pm thanks to Eric, McCall, Rolan, Tom, Brett and Nikki we were officially ALL moved in!!! Now I am in the process of cleaning and when that is done and our bed is put together then we'll quit spending the night at Monty & Diane's and move ourselves in officially :) I am waiting for my mom to get back from England to help me decorate but until then I will just be getting stuff put together.
We will be living in Uncle Norm & Aunt Debbie's white ranch house this summer, then BACK to Logan in August to live with Michelle & Ryan for the fall, can't wait :) than BACK to the white house in Randolph for good in December. Ah what a life.
