*100th Post: Dedicated To Joey*

Wow, this is my 100th post. It's only taken me a whole freakin' year (and than some) to get to it.  I had a hard time coming up with something to write about for this post that has to do with 100... This is what I came up with.  And let me tell you... It wasn't hard at all to write :)
100 Things I LOVE about my Husband:
I love...
1. His blue eyes. They remind me of a river
2. His scars. Each one has a story
3. How the front of his hair has a "cowlick". It's adorable
4. His lips. They are so kissable
5. Speaking of which... I LOVE kissing him!
6. His hands. They are hard working hands
7. His forearms ;) (Yes, those of you who knew I had a thing for guy's forearms... I still do, and my Hubby's are just right haha)
8. The freckles on his shoulders and kissing them
9. His butt... Duh
10. His smile. It still makes me melt everytime
11. His voice. It helps me get through nights I have to spend without him. Plus, it's just sexy
12. When he sings to me
13. How he knows every word to every song... literally
14. And every word to every movie
15. How he can imitate anyone... or anything
16. That he will go to chick flicks with me... And than quote them afterwards haha
17. Calling him "Joey", "Jojo" & "Hunny Bunny"
18. How he calls me "Sugar Lips" & "Lover", even in front of other people
19. How protected I feel when I'm around him
20. How he always has his arm around me
21. How he holds me
22. How he cuddles with me
23. His hugs. They are the best

25. ...on the nose...
26. ...on the hand (He did that a few weeks after we started dating and he still does all the time)
27. That he knows my hands and feet are always cold and he always tries to keep them warm best he can
28. How toasty his body always is. I love to snuggle up close to him and get warm
29. That he will brush my hair for me
30. Taking showers with him (Sorry I had to put it)
31. That he always wants to take me on a date
32. That no matter what we're doing (On a date, in a movie, staying at home, staying in bed, at the store... anywhere) we always are having fun and I'm having the time of my life
33. That he's not a picky eater (Besides that he doesn't like Peanut Butter or Garlic. We are still trying to work these issues out, it's a sour subject in our relationship. Haha)
34. That he loves Sushi... Match.Made.In.Heaven :)
35. That he likes to travel with me (when we have the money of course)
36. That he was able to surprise me for our honeymoon. Made it all the way to Lake Tahoe without me knowing. Made all the resurvations (he DOES NOT plan). Took me to Vegas. To The Anniversary Inn(twice!). To P.F. Changs, Red Lobster & a restaurant on the lakeside. Spoiled me rotten. Was the best honeymoon any girl could ask for
37. That he was such a trooper and smiled throughout ALL of our wedding festivities. He told me all he cared about was that we were getting married and that it was the best day of our lives so he wanted it to be special & perfect for me

39. That he actually likes his wedding ring. We thought we were going to have some issues with him wearing it for forever haha

*Sick And Tired Of Being Freakin' Sick!*

Remember this post?  Yeah, screw that!  I am so annoyed to say that I am sick AGAIN.  I just barely got over the horrible cough and congestion from that post and here I am with a sore sore throat and a fever.  And, even though Joey was extra cute last night, (he picked up my antibiotics, bought me a drink, fed me some cereal so I wouldn't get an upset stomach when I took some meds, rubbed vapor rub on my chest and throat, and cuddled me) I still would so much rather NOT be sick.  Even my toes ached.

I am so tired of getting sick All. The. Gosh. Darn. Time!  I have the worlds worst immune system.  All you have to do is look at me when you're sick and, yup, I'll catch whatever it is you have.  It's kind of embarrassing to tell people, "Oh, I'm sick... again... no I promise I'm not faking it... really!"  I was so disgusted at how achy my body was last night, I was so shaky and hurting that when I went to use the restroom I didn't even realize how bad I'd had to go.  Sad, I know.

I do everything to prevent sickness too.  I eat right, drink tons of fluids, get enough sleep, wash my hands, use hand sanitizer, don't drink or eat after people who I think even look sick, take vitamins, regular check-ups... the works.  And yet, I still get sick no matter what.  It's frustrating, and I feel like I can't "whine" or complain to Joey about it because he's already dealing with doing everything for me when he's at home while I'm sick... So this is me, complaining to all who read my blog, that I am SO done with being sick! :(

    *I Take That Back*

So, remember this morning when I posted this about there being no snow yet this fall?!? Well, not even 4 hours later it came... Not in full force thank the heavens, but it was still snow.  Flakey, white, cold snow.  Not ready for 6+ months of that wet yuckiness just yet :(

    *Fun With The Girls*

Can I just mention how much I love watching my nieces during the week.  A couple of weeks ago we went to the park, because it was such a gorgeous fall day, to check out the ducks and have a picnic with Grape Mike and Ike's as the main course :)

     Ryleigh & I
She didn't want to show her mouth because it's "full of goopy candy"
I'm not pregnant, I promise it's just my hoodie
    Ry & Trista(love the hip)
I love this one of her. She's adorable

    *No Snow???*

This fall has been heavenly!  I cannot believe that it's October 25th and it still hasn't snowed yet.  In fact, it's been semi-warm! And yet, we still haven't gone to a pumpkin patch or corn maze. We need to get on the ball. And we still haven't gone to my favorite haunted mini golf course out in Providence (I dunno why I love that golf course so much. I guess it was just so fun last year when we went. It was chilly, we were with good company and... by golly... we had hot chocolate. It was great). Watch, you'll see; because I wrote this post I'm gonna look out the window here in a second and it will be snowing (Scratch that. I just looked at the forecast.  It's gonna snow tomorrow. Yuck).

    *Newest Member Of Our Fam*

Introducing Bocephus(Bo-see-fuss)... or simply Bo :)
He's a slick haired Border Collie.  We miss Hagen & Lori Darlin' a lot and we now have Dolly but, Joey has been wanting a puppy from his cousin's dog Chloe for awhile now and even though I technically got Dolly for him to replace Lori I told him he could have one of Chloe's pups as well.  Which now results in two puppies... at the same time... not recommended... ever.
Dolly & her new brother Bo... She's not too sure about him just yet :)

    *Quotes That Stick*

"The truest mark of your success in life will be the quality of your marriage"
    Gordon B. Hinckley (Former LDS[Mormon] Prophet/Leader )

This is my momma's favorite quote.  I love it.  Every time I am cross with Joey, or think our marriage is "tough" on me I think of this quote.  Marriage isn't a one person show, it takes two to make it last forever.  So, if I'm not doing my part to make it work and make it the best marriage ever than I am failing on my success in life... here on earth and in heaven

    *Pillow Talk*

On the topic of "Jency stealing the covers"

Joey: "Hunny, it's not getting any better... It's getting worse."

Me: Laughing, "I CAN'T HELP IT, I'M ASLEEP FOR HEAVENS SAKE"

Joey: "It's like you do a Crocodile death role, {rolls his hands around and around} and wrap the covers around you as you go."

    *More*

I am a list maker extraordinaire.  I make grocery lists, to do lists, cleaning lists, weekly goals lists, monthly goal lists, yearly goal lists, 5 year, 10 year plan lists... You get the picture.  Well, today in church I was looking through the hymn book and came across the song "More Holiness Give Me" by Philip P. Bliss written in 1873.  And I came up with yet another list.  And the "goals" are already written down and everything for me, they just so happen to be the words of the song.

So here is my "More Holiness" list:

    • More holiness give me
    • More strivings within
    • More patience in suffering
    • More sorrow for sin
    • More faith in my Savior
    • More sense of His care
    • More joy in His service
    • More purpose in prayer
    • More gratitude give me
    • More trust in the Lord
    • More zeal for His glory
    • More hope in His Word
    • More tears for His sorrows
    • More pain at His grief
    • More meekness in trial
    • More praise for relief
    • More purity give me
    • More strength to over come
    • More freedom from earth-stains
    • More longings for home
    • More fit for the kingdom
    • More useful I’d be
    • More blessèd and holy
    • More, Savior, like Thee
Try and top THAT list ;)

    *Tuesday Confessional: Back-Ups*

Have you ever had a great shirt or pair of pants that you loved so much and after a few years it was either so stained or thread bare that you had to get rid of it... And in the back of your head you are wishing you would have bought TWO of that same shirt just in case this exact moment ever came around??

Well, I have.  I am not a good clothes shopper, so when I find something I like it is a big deal.  I never could justify buying TWO of the same thing though.  I have, on a couple occasions, bought the same shirt but in a different color.

Today, however; I was thinking of my most FAVORITE pair of sunglasses I have ever owned (Besides my $200 Calvin Klein's.  But, after I lost them at the lake I will NEVER even consider spending that much on... well, anything again haha).  So my SECOND favorite pair of sunglasses I have ever owned are my (above) American Eagle "Audrey Hepburn" sunglasses.  Funny story: Joe & I were in AE last month and I was trying on some sunglasses.  I have the hardest time finding a pair I like, I tried these ones on and asked the AE employee what he thought of them and he said, "hmmmm, they are so Audrey Hepburn.  Love them".  So... I bought them for $15.  And I "Love them" too!

Long story short: I hate looking for sunglasses that I'll love and actually wear so after having these for a month and with my track record with sunglasses (loosing them, breaking them, scratching them, chucking them in an unexpected rage) I decided to go back and see if they had another pair so I could have a mmm... back-up pair.  And they did, on sale, $6.  Yes!

So here's me saying, I'm not ashamed to admit that if I love something I will now go back and buy a "back-up" pair.  Don't judge.

I have to say I did like this post

    *Pillow Talk*

Over text while Joey was on his way to Randolph:

Joey: I made it to GC Lover

Me: Good! And with my computer so now I can't watch D Wives

Joey: Oh poop. I'm sorry Lover

    Me: It's OK

    Joey: :(

    Me: I miss you more

    Joey: No you don't

Me: Well,  I mean, my computer is a very very close second... but, I do miss you more

    Joey: Yeah I bet :)

*Did I Shave My Legs For This?*

Well Momma, you've done it.  I was in the shower this morning shaving my legs and a conversation I had with my mother a long time ago came to my mind.  I believe it went something like this:

Me: Poor Joey, he always has to feel my prickly legs when we go to bed.

Momma: He WHAT!?!  I have never made my husband sleep next to prickly legs before!  I have shaved my legs everyday since I was married!

Way to make me feel like wife of the year mother.  I shaved my legs the other day and that night Joey made a big production over how "smooth & soft" they were.... hint freaking hint.  He must be in on this too.  SO, I decided it's about time that I never make my husband sleep next to prickly legs again.  And since it's too expensive to sugar wax my legs twice a month(I will never regularly wax or be regularly waxed again!) and I am not brave enough to sugar wax them myself, now starts operation "shaving of the legs EVERY freakin' day".  (Please add laser hair removal to my wish list!!)

It's exactly day FOUR of this escapade and after many MANY gel shaving creams, lotions, topical benadryls and heated wash clothes my legs still feel like they have been bitten my a billion fire ants and then... not so gently... rubbed down with a sheet of sand paper.  I have been told that if you faithfully shave your legs every single day your legs with become "immune" (I was also told something similar to this about sugar waxing.... Yeah, they lied).  But, lo and behold, this is me being "a good wife" and not telling Joey to "suck it, you're doomed to sleep next to Sasquatch for the rest of  f o r e v e r".  I am determined and maybe a little crazy to suffer through shaving my legs, no matter if I'm in a hurry, or my legs are bleeding profusely, or Joey & I are having WWIII over the whole "smooth legs" thing.

This is for you baby.... YOU OWE ME

    *Miss Him*

I don't like spending nights without Joey.... Tonight is particularly difficult for some reason.  I miss him.  I wish I were with him.  I want him here.  Right now.  Laying in bed with me.  Cuddling me.  Holding him.

I'm really emotional right now.  I've been spending too many nights away from him I think.  I don't know how so many of you girls do it.  My heart and respect goes out to you.  Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe and my mind goes all fuzzy from missing him and then the tears come.  I know I sound pathetic but, I'm literally not complete when he's not by my side.

I don't want to spend another unnecessary night without him.... ever again.

    Breathe Jency....
