*We Are Not Wii People :)*

Does anyone remember this post?  Well, this was one of my first attempts at the Wii, it was embarrassing beyond belief.  Joey & I aren't big video game fans.  The first and biggest reason is... well... we just aren't good at them.  ESPECIALLY the darn Wii.  I don't know what it is, our hand/brain coordination is off, or maybe we're just plain retarded.  The reason why I'm writing about this is because last week was the last straw, I had to write about this after what happened.  But, before I tell you about that let me just list a few other Wii-gone-wrongs.

1) We can't play Wii Family Feud.  Well, we can play, just don't even think about handing us the controller... unless you wanna loose... really badly... pretty much because we run out of time before we can even think of moving the controller to the right spot on the screen.  All I can say is wow, yup, we're retarded.
2)  Wii fitness+Joey+Jency=Amusement for the rest of forever (Watch video below)
3) I guess you can play competition games against us on the Wii if you need a self esteem boost.  Because we always loose!

The story that, I guess isn't too funny on here I just realized because it was more of a "you had to be there" moment, but I'll tell it anyways....

We were invited over to our friends Kevin & Dany's to eat some AMAZING food Kev cooked (he's going to culinary arts school), hang out and play some Wii.  It starts out pretty innocently, a game of Wii bowling (before I was even allowed to touch the controller I had to put the little loop around my wrist so I didn't accidently chuck the thing into flat screen TV), some Wii golfing, THEN Wii baseball time... Ahem... Kevin bats.  All is good.  Dany goes.  All is good.  Joey's turn... hits Kevin in the arm so hard everyone can hear it.  Kevin scoots over and pretty much flinches every time Joey holds the controller from then on.  He ends up almost whacking me across the head, almost chucks the controller into the TV, and provides us with entertainment the rest of the night.  HAHA, it was hilarious, way to go Joe.  That's my husband.

Here's some funny video's from our night playing Wii Fit w/ Eric & McCall...

Needless to say, we will stick to outdoor activities and things where we won't be humiliating ourselves by doing :)

*Classifieds, "Spring" & Baby-Sitting*

"The Westons" April 2010
Joe & I were thinking the other day that THREE trucks is one too many for just the two of us... A little unnecessary really. It almost looks like we have a lot of money and are just showing off :) Well... We really don't. Therefore "Little Blue" is now up for sale! I spent a whole couple of days (when not at work) cleaning him inside, out and in between. He actually cleans up quite well (and yes we do refer to him as a "he". In fact he is the "old pimp" and our other trucks are his women "Black Betty" & "Betty White"). Anywho, he is being featured on KSL Classifieds online, posters all throughout town and has pretty little For Sale signs on him. Please cross your fingers for us that he gets sold... ASAP.

We recently celebrated spring with short sleeves, St. Paty's Day, a spring clean and even a spring bonus (from my job, not Joe's because his job is freakin' ridiculous and penny pushers needless to say. This is a bitter subject for me if you couldn't tell haha)... The very next day pretty much this (above) ends our celebration... I measured 6 inches of snow and that was in the middle of it's downpour. Could very possibly have been more. Luckily, I am training some boys at work to take over my job so I just had to tell them what to do and didn't have to leave the building in to the blizzard once!

ETHAN got to come hang out with his Uncle Joey & Aunt Jency thursday night while his parents were out. We had a blast. It took him only a minute to warm up to me again... and about 30 minutes to warm up to Joe and the cat haha.

The boys were buds the rest of the night though. Played the banjo together, ate rice cereal and grape juice, played ball, took turns "walking" around, terrorized the cat, clapping, talking... You name it!

Opi wasn't too hot about the idea of someone else crawling around her territory.

After all the toys were taken out and put back, one bottle of milk, one bottle of grape juice, one pee-pee diaper, one massive poopy diaper, one outfit change, one episode of Grey's Anatomy, 3 stories, one Banjo recital and one crying fit later he had to leave us :( Until next time Eth. We love you!

*Family Night W/ The Carson's*

This past monday night Joey & I went over to my brother Eric and his wife McCall's place for family night. We played Wii Fit and hung out for a few hours. It was funny to watch everyone on playing Wii Fit, standing on the board trying to hula-hoop, ski, fly and throw snow balls. Above is a picture of Joe "flying" haha.

I got to hang out with my ADORABLE nephew Ethan.

He was so tired and ended up falling alseep on my arm for a few minutes until......
we hand "sharing time" and Ethan showed us how he could stand up by himself for a few seconds, clap his hands, make indian calls and play hide and seek. He's such a big boy!

McCall and Ethan. We love that they live only a couple minutes away!

After our family time with the little Carson family Joe & I went out for our treat before we went home. I told him how after ballet class on tuesday nights when I was 9 in Virginia my mom used to stop at the 7 Eleven and get me a slurpee. So, we stopped at the 7 Eleven here in town and got us each one to slurp while we watched Grey's Anatomy (go figure) at home. (LOVE the guy in the background with his ACDC pj's on. He was all embarrassed to be in our picture haha).

FALL TIME = CORN MAZES!

Fall finds Joey studying his rear off and me working mine off. But, our evenings have been packed full of fun fall activities. We had a family home evening decorating our balcony for Halloween. We've also done some hot tubbing during the new chilly nights, bundling up and taking long walks before going to bed, cuddling on the couch with hot chocolate and watching Joe's favorite shows "O'Riley Factor" "Hannity" and Football (Gag me), going to the temple with Bri and Cody, and CORN MAZES with Eric, McCall and Ethan. It's been fun, even though it seems almost more like Winter some days, but for the most part we've been having beautiful, crisp, fall days.
I am loving my job, and our apartment and my husband more and more each day. I enjoy the people I work with and have fun chattin' with the mechanics every day. I never thought I would like driving auto parts all around Brigham, Logan, Smithfield, Richmond, Preston and loads of other places, but I like it a lot. I stay busy so the time goes by fast too! Our apartment starts feeling homier each day. My parents helped decorate it this past weekend and I LOVE the things they added to it. We also broke down and got TV so Joey could watch his sports and me my HGTV haha. (Mom feel free to come visit whenever and watch it with me.) We also are about to break down and get a new flat screen to go along with it :) And as for my husband... I am the luckiest woman ever and I fall in love with him more and more every single day.
It was a blast.
